Makeup haul from Jabong ! Mua & Makeup Revolution : First Impressions

If you have been reading a lot of beauty reviews on our website (Blingsparkle) you must have come across a lovely cream blush 'Ritzy' by MUA . You can read the full review of the MUA Luxe Velvet cream blush in 'Ritzy' here. It is my holy Grail product when it comes to cream blushes. It was my second product from MUA after their kiss lip gloss . Previously this week there was this great sale on Jabong India and many of Mua products and Makeup revolution products( This doesn't need any intro!) . I went berserk and bought a lot of products from both beauty brands.

Both MUA and Makeup revolution are quite affordable drugstore brands and the only con about them is their availability in India ! From the haul may of the products where a steal deal while others where quite a let down. Today Ill share the worst and best products from my haul. I have categorized the products from my haul into two categories. Read on to know which of them belonged to which category!

Best And Worst of MUA and Makeup Revolution London 

All of the products can be bought online and are super drug products. Many of these products turned out to be great ones and many I regret buying ( As they are non-returnable and I am stuck with them!) hence I am making a post on the worst and the good buys  many of which include the price factory as in India. Lets start from MUA.

Mua Makeup Academy Shade 3 Liquid Eyeliner -3G (INR 615):

I was in search of a metallic eyeliner and I was very happy with the metallic bold look this eyeliner let me create. Its waterproof and one single swipe gives a intense pigment of a metallic shade on my eyelids. I am in love with this eyeliner and cannot wait to flaunt it. Beautiful buy!

Mua Makeup Academy Kiss Me Love Heart Lip Balms: (INR 350):

Everything about this lip balm is LOVE ! The fragrance, the packaging and the tint *happy dance* . I am so happy I bought two in this shade as they are absolutely gorgeous and give my lips a beautiful tinted pink look. This among their Love hearts range and the best in that range. I also like the sweet kiss one but not as much as this one. Moisturizes lips and glides smoothly on my lips. Its one of the best lip balms out there in the market! It is decently pigmented and the texture is a dream which is why I am going to ignore the fact that they are priced a little on the higher note in India! It leaves a lovely red tint on my lips and gives a glossy lip look. Very happy!

Mua Makeup Academy Sweet Kiss Love Heart Lip Balms: (INR 350):

This is another lip balm from the same range . Smells amazing and has a sweet light pink tint which might not show on pigmented lips but looks great and does its job of moisturizing real well ! Loved everything about this lip balm.

Mua Makeup Academy Shade 3 Mascara (BLUE) INR 700 :

I am obsessed with blue nowadays and this is my first colored mascara ! I am so excited to flaunt this. it looked absolutely stunning on my lashes and I was afraid it would be too OTT but it was amazing ! Its sure to grab a lot of eyeballs and it does add volume to my lashes and make them look thicker ! Fabulous!

Mua Makeup Academy Shade 5 Blusher: (INR 750)

I had read a lot of great reviews about the MUA blushes and grabbed quite a few shades in them and this shade 5 by MUA topped the list ! Its a pretty toned down subdued coral shade and would suit almost all Indian skin tones. It instantly brightened up my face and its my to go powder blush for now!

Mua Makeup Academy Shade 4 Blusher: (INR 750)

This is another favorite from their powder blush range .Loved their classy and travel friendly  packaging . It is a s with shimmers which are not at all prominent when applied on the apples of my cheeks. It will look absolutely gorgeous on fair to medium skinned beauties. Gives a perfect flushed look to my cheeks and has a soft texture and can be built to your satisfaction.It gives a beautiful glow to my cheeks and looks stunning ! LOVE !

Mua Makeup Academy Shade-1 Liquid Eyeliner (INR 615):

This is a very bright colored blue eyeliner and goes perfectly with my current blue obsession mood ! Glides on my eyes without effort and gives my eyes a new dimension , totally worth the purchase ! Quite pigmented and it does not flake , the only con would be the applicator which I found to be a little hard to work with. For all those in love with blue liners must try this waterproof liner as it has a decent staying power too!

THE WORST

Mua Makeup Academy Medium Beauty Balm (Shade 2) : INR 950

First of all the shade is way too light even though its a Medium Shade which is mine. Plus the texture is pathetic and the tube is filled with a lot of air! Very pricey for a BB cream ! Its one of my most worst buys and I deeply regret spending my money on this BB cream! Do not buy this, its a waste of money! Not recommended ! This one can be concluded as a major miss !

Mua Makeup Academy Shade 2 Blusher: (INR 750):

Shade 2 might be something I shouldn't pick p from MUA's range as it has fared real bad with me. This blusher din't show up on my cheeks and shows up only after a couple of swipes. Very light and hardly seen on my cheeks. As this a light shade it has a very low staying power on my cheeks. Din't work for me.

Mua Makeup Academy Shade 1 Mascara (BROWN) INR 700:

I was sent a slightly dry product and second of all it din't even show on my light black eye lashes. I was hoping on using it to create a subtle yet dramatic look but was dissapointed !I really did not like this at all!

Mua makeup Academy Great Lips Love Hearts Lip Balm: INR 350

This lip balm hardly had any tint and was unflattering. bu it does moisturise well but fails to conquer over kiss me and sweet me and hence I wish I had given this one a miss and bought another cute tub of the Kiss me Lip balm! I would not say it is worst as I am definitely going to use this in my nighttime routine everyday unlike the other two products above. This is not terrible by any means, it's just not amazing like the other two variants from this range!

Makeup Revolution London I Heart Passion Wonder Palette : (INR 2000)

This beautiful eye shadow palette is from Makeup revolution london's I ♥ Makeup range. This palette is a versatile palette as it has a lot of mattes and shimmery shades to play with. It comes with a full size mirror and a sponge applicator. It has two highlighting shades and some bold colors which are perfect to make that bold smokey eye. To top it all is the uber cute packaging which has a pink heart at the top. Absolutely love this palette!

Makeup Revolution London No Ordinary Love Salvation Intense Lip Lacquer : (INR 700)

This gloss is one of a kind for its non sticky ! It looked sweet on my lips and moisturized my lips real well ! In love with this lip lacquer . I did want to to try Makeup revolution london's velvet lip lacquers which are liquid lipsticks but picked u this one for a change. I really loved the formula of this gloss ! Its beautiful and one that i will use  a lot in the coming days!

Makeup Revolution London Amazing Waterproof Black Eyeliner: (INR 500)

This is an amazing liner to work with, the felt tip which is firm gives us freedom to create a bold line on the lids. The felt tip is great and picks up the right amount of product. It dries into a bold black matte black color and looks amazing my eyelids ! One of the best liners I have come across ! Its intense black, super pigmented , smudge proof and waterproof ! I am so happy I bought this (It was on a 75% discount) *mini happy dance* Every jet black eyeliner lover out there must indulge in this awesomeness ! Totally recommended !

THE WORST

Makeup Revolution London Luscious Amazing Lipstick: (INR 450)

For the price its a huge letdown for other than packaging there is nothing much to rave about this lipstick. i was on a lookout for a cool toned orange shade and hence picked up this but it din't suit my medium skin tone. The most disappointing thing was the staying power which is very low ! Not satisfied with this one. It did look great in the bullet but does not look good on my skin. It might look good on fair skinned beauties but its definitely a must avoid for medium to dusky skin tones as it does not hide imperfections of my lips.  am thinking of using to use this with another lipstick of mine to make use of this.
